Carvoeiro beach is sheltered and picturesque. The old fishing boats have trips, several times a day, to visit the caves throughout the summer. This part of the Algarve possesses some of Europe’s most beautiful beaches and there are also some secluded beaches and coves very near Carvoeiro, a few of which are only accessible by boat but are well worth the trouble.
In the winter, Carvoeiro is a different story with a quiet but pleasant, out of season feel with plenty of warm sunshine to enjoy.
The coastal cliffs are a must for keen walkers and a stroll through the streets and steps found away from the coast is the best way of getting to know this region.
